The Holland & Holland team were greeted with some wet and blustery conditions in Corwen, Wales, with rain pouring sideways by breakfast. Despite the adverse weather, it was smiles all round, all guns relishing the opportunity of some early season partridge, with the added challenge of a small bore only day. 

On demo during the day were two truly stunning examples; a ‘Royal Deluxe’ 28g and a ‘Royal Deluxe’ .410, which turned heads on every drive. The day started slowly with the heavy rain making the birds reluctant to take flight, and when they did, they sensibly hugged the tree-line, heading back to cover as soon as they could. As the day progressed, the rain did ease and the drives became more and more spectacular, the valley setting offering stunning views. Both over and under shotguns performed flawlessly permitting all that used them to add to the day’s bag.
